In the cat world, August 17th is celebrated as Black Cat Appreciation Day…a day to recognize black cats and dispel the myths about them (though we know that all of you loyal readers appreciate ALL cats, every day)!

It’s really sad that in this day and age, black cats are still the last cats to be adopted. Myths and old wives tales persist in some cultures that black cats are bad luck. Thankfully this isn’t true for most cultures who instead see black cats as they are… as good luck.

To really honor our black feline friends, please spread the word to help educate others by sharing this post… black cats are beautiful, fun, sassy, courageous, sleek, loyal, striking, charming, alluring, refined, captivating, elegant, graceful, amusing…and your best friend.

What other qualities would you add to this list?
