If you’ve followed The Catnip Times for a while, you’ll know that we took our content “offline” this summer and made Midwesterner’s purr with the inaugural Meow MeetUp back in July 2018!

What is Meow MeetUp Chicago?

If you haven’t heard by now, it was the Midwest’s first and largest convention for cat lovers! Thousands of cat lovers descended upon the Donald E Stephens Convention Center to take part in cat-focused educational seminars, cat demonstrations, a cat cafe, kitty yoga, a feline film festival and so much more!

Please check out this great review (and overview) of this year’s Meow MeetUp Chicago by fellow Chicago cat blogger Craig Rutkowske of! Craig and his wife attended the two-day event and wrote a really interesting review that you should definitely check out!

Life-Changing Donations: 16,000 Cans & ~$10,000

A hearty “Thank You” to everyone who came out and supported us (and the cats) in our inaugural year! Because of your support, we were able to donate over 16,000 cans of cat food, courtesy of Nulo Pet Food, and raised nearly $10,000 for homeless pets in the Chicago and surrounding areas!
